Integrate exciting content from a variety of media with critical thinking, reading, and writing skills to fuel a dynamic Social Studies classroom. In this session, participants will explore a wide variety of resources that give students challenging and meaningful learning experiences in Social Studies, including engaging videos, digitally enhanced text, interactive investigations, brilliant images, and challenging primary source documents. A Discovery Education Specialist will help participants learn the organization of Discovery Education Social Studies Techbook™ and will provide directions for teachers to organize, assign, and use the resources in Discovery Education Social Studies Techbook™ for instruction.
